7th & 8th Grade Washington DC trip

The DC trip is part of year long learning with the trip as a capstone. The Sayler Park School Foundation has been able to provide supporting funds covering roughly 60% of the cost for the May 2019 school trip.

Rocket Girls
​
ROCKET GIRLS takes girls entering grades 3-8 into a special Mission to Mars! Each student will build and launch their very own rocket that they will get to keep while also learning about 3D printing and design and even how to program and control robotics that can be used to explore other planets :) ​

After-school Robotics

This program supported over 90 students in the 2018-2019 school year.
Students entered into the fascinating world of robotics. In this exciting STEAM program, students will design, build and test their very own robots under the guidance of an experienced AES instructor. Projects include remote control cars, claws, cranes,crawlers, and battle bots. Educational components include gear ratios, mechanical design, electronics, and robotics engineering. No previous experience is necessary, just a desire to have fun, build, and learn. Each student will receive an award on the last day of the session, and have the opportunity to earn Energy Belts to demonstrate their learned skills!

Ballet Uniforms

​The Sayler Park School Foundation has been proud to sponsor uniforms for the after-school Ballet Club program for two school years.

Scholastic Book Fair

​Financial support of over $1100 dollars to underwrite the 2018-2019 Scholastic Book Fair.

WordPlay

Sayler Park School is a Partner Program school with WordPlay. THe Sayler Park School Foundation is honored to support this partnership. WordPlay brings project-based reading, writing and storytelling workshops into classrooms, with partnerships between trained teaching artists and classroom teachers to complement curriculum with the arts.
